I didn't get much stitching time this week, but I did make a little progress on my Kindness Sampler:
I am hoping to have more time to work on it next week.
I am thinking about dyeing the fabric in the background, as I like the darker look shown on the design cover.
Do any of you purchase patterns on Ebay?
I have just had my first exposure to purchasing this way.
I bid on the pattern Americana by Carriage House Samplings hoping to stitch it for my mothers birthday which is July 4th.
I discovered one very important thing -
When a bid is about to close - DON'T FALL ASLEEP when you are the high bidder.
You will wake up & your pattern will be sold & your cell phone will be dead because you never plugged it into the charger & you won't be able to find it because it will be buried in your sheets & you can't call it because - well - It's dead - & who knows how many people you dialed rolling over it while sleeping before it lost it's charge.....
I think you get the picture !!!
I hope the person who beat me enjoys the pattern but I will be ready next time!
My Advice: Shop on Ebay with COFFEE !!!!!
Have a Wonderful weekend -

I recently won a Rovaris Necklace Kit Giveaway from Sharon's Cross Stitch Obsession
Here is my Finish:
I reversed the pattern & used the thread for the letter "P" instead of using it in the background.
I so like the look of Linen - especially with red floss.
Thank you so much Sharon -
I love it !!!!
Enjoy your weekend

I know this is a stitching blog, but I needed to divert my attention for a moment.
When I came home from work the other day my children brought this little sweetheart to my attention
This is Molly.
She was starving, dirty, covered in fleas, begging for attention & nearly dead ......
You can feel nothing but bone when holding her
She is sweet, cuddly, loveable & potty trained !
Who in the world would abandon her?
We shaved her hair to get rid of matted fur & fleas, gave her a wonderful bath (with flea shampoo)
fed her & cuddled her to sleep .....
Now she is sitting up & acting like she feels better.
My point here is this:
Be responsible with your pets !!!!!
